DJ

As for our DJ, we really only met with one company, TSG Weddings. We met with one of their DJs, Karl, and after that meeting it was hard for us to look for any other DJ.

Karl and Nicki are actually old friends from their childhood, but that was not the deciding factor. Karl took the time to get to know what we wanted for our wedding and gave us how a typical wedding normally runs and how they separate the music unless if we have specific requests. What sold me on Karl was how he was genuinely interested in knowing why I call the wedding Operation: Wedding Revenge.

For those who do not know the story of Operation: Wedding Revenge, here is a brief synopsis. When my brother, Nick, was married 2 days after my birthday. Because of this, many people were preoccupied with the wedding (rightfully so) and my birthday was put on the back burner. Our wedding is date is 3/17/12 which is St. Patrick's Day which is also my brother's birthday. So he gets married 2 days after my birthday and I get married on his birthday, with Nick's blessing.

After listing to the back story, Karl asked if we wanted to do something separate during the reception for his birthday, an idea I never thought of doing for the reception. He then asked if I wanted to embarrass him, and that sold me on Karl!! So I am currently taking ideas on how we can embarrass Nick.

We also decided to go with some up lighting with the reception. Below is an example of up lighting in a room very similar to the Sturbridge Host

For more examples of up lighting check out their website!!
